American Fernando’s Commitment as a Nonprofit

A qualified teen shelter is a public shelter in Arkansas housing teenagers living without a biological parent. We provide teenagers with housing, shelter, and the following services.

  • Professional education and skill development in singing, dancing, and self-defense.
  • Medical, dental, and vision care occurs during a qualifying activity.
  • Travel and meals are incurred while transporting the teenagers to training or medical facilities or bringing those services directly to them.
  • All the above services to caregivers accompanying the teenagers in their activities.

Love the Forgotten

Let’s love society’s forgotten children.

Society has turned away from orphaned teenagers. Everyone loves a young child. Everyone loves a family. But, oh, so few care about the dumped teenager.

Teenagers are beautiful people, not a pariah. They are in transition, discovering who they are. They possess energy. They dream wild dreams. And, oh, yes, they still ask questions.

We will hire them to work for us in another year or two. In just a few more years, we will transfer the reins of power into their waiting hands.

Love God’s forgotten orphans. Some of us ignore it. Some of us love. Which are we?
